eSport is a different world where the childish dreams of playing video games and earning money come to life. In this article, the three most popular eSports popular games will be discussed in the gaming industry right now.

Dota 2

Dota 2 is an action real-time strategy game released in 2013 and with prize money of $216,416,038.34 from 1242 tournaments. The Game is a multiplayer online battle arena, in which two teams of five players compete to collectively destroy a large structure defended by the opposing team known as the "Ancient", whilst defending their own. Each year ′The International′ takes place, which is the biggest Dota 2 tournament, and this year’s prize is $34,330,068.

Counter-Strike: Global offensive

Counter-Strike: GO released in 2012 takes second place. The prize money awarded from 4264 tournaments is $82,161,022.18. CS: GO is a multiplayer first-person shooter game developed by Hidden Path Entertainment and Valve Corporation and is a fourth game in the Counter-Strike series. The total amount of players, who participate in the tournaments is 12 052.

Fortnite

The third-place is awarded to the youngest game, which was released in 2017 and has already shared prize money to the sum of $78,747,962.69 from 478 tournaments. Fortnite is a cooperative shooter-survival game to fight zombies and defend objects. The Fortnite Battle Royale version is used in the eSports. This year’s Fortnite World Cup Finals 2019 took place in July with a prize pool of $15,287,500.00.
